World Suicide Prevention day events

Drop-in to an informal networking event on World Suicide Prevention day on10th September to find out more about mental health support for young people in Leeds. Stalls will be available from a range of providers so you can pick up promotional material and chat about the support they offer. It’s also a chance to visit the Time for Young people hub and find out more about how they can support young people aged 11 upwards - Time for Young People Leeds - MindMate

Attendees will be able to support the MindMate Ambassadors who are taking on carrying the Baton of Hope, to represent children and young people in Leeds who have been bereaved by suicide.

The Baton of Hope Tour is a national suicide prevention campaign which brings communities together to remember the lives sadly lost to suicide, while promoting a message of hope, reducing stigma and promoting help-seeking. 84 Baton Bearers, who have all been affected or bereaved by suicide, will carry the baton across Leeds.
