Safeguarding Week 2018

As in previous years Safeguarding Week is taking place all across West Yorkshire and in Leeds it is once again a joint initiative which includes the Leeds Safeguarding Children Partnership, Leeds Safeguarding Adults Board and Safer Leeds Executive.

This year Safeguarding Week is taking place week commencing 25th June 2018.

We would like to encourage your organisation, however big or small, to consider how they can get involved. If every organisation was able to do at least one thing, it would have a big impact across the city.

Safeguarding Week is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the work that you do to protect and safeguard people in Leeds and promote awareness by hosting an event or activity within your organisation. This could be involve setting up a display and giving out leaflets, holding a safeguarding training event, reviewing and sharing your safeguarding policy with staff, hosting a coffee morning for service users and their families to promote safeguarding, holding an open day to tell people about how your service works to safeguard people, or something even bigger. It’s entirely up to you.

You may already have an activity planned during that week, if so, then we would love to hear about it.

Complete our online form with the details of your activity so that it can be added to the Safeguarding Week timetable and we can help to promote it across the partnership.

Help promote the week by using the Safeguarding Week stamp, displaying the poster and using the web banner. All available for download from our website.

Have you booked your place on the one of the many activities or training courses on offer? See the Safeguarding Week timetable for details.

Safeguarding is everyone’s business, please consider what you can do to help and pass this information on throughout your networks.

With your support, we can continue making make a real difference for the citizens of Leeds.
