Teenage Interpersonal Violence and Abuse

This session offers a very brief introduction to the topic of Teenage Interpersonal Violence and Abuse.

The one and a half hour session will be delivered live on Zoom and will cover:

  • The different forms of Interpersonal Violence and Abuse in young people’s relationships
  • How this effects young people
  • What to do next
  • Key messages for professionals


Introduction to Child Exploitation

This course is for anyone working with children or young people who may be at risk of child exploitation. This course will offer an overview of child exploitation in its various forms including county lines and sexual exploitation. The course will also help practitioners to understand how to identify when a child or young person may be at risk of exploitation. It also looks at how practitioners can respond to identified or suspected child exploitation in order to safeguard the child from harm.


Mind Your Language - Exploitation & Victim Blaming Webinar

A webinar to explore victim blaming language used around the exploitation of children, young people and young adults. This webinar delivered by Sarah Brown from the National Working Group is for anyone working with children or young people who may be at risk of child exploitation.


Safer Recruitment Training

A live, online, multi-agency course for managers and staff with a particular responsibility for recruiting paid and voluntary workers into positions which have contact with children and young people and / or their carers.

This course looks at how to undertake the recruitment process safely with regards to child protection. Please note that this is not intended to be a comprehensive workshop on staff recruitment and selection, but rather on how to make those processes safer.


Introduction to Domestic Violence and Abuse including the impact on the child

This live, online, multi-agency course is for anyone working with children, young people and families who may be in a position to recognise and respond to domestic abuse. This course aims to provide an introduction or refresher to your understanding of the impact of domestic violence and abuse in families and on children and to increase your skills in working with those families including with ones who are causing the harm.
