Understanding Child Sexual Exploitation & Responding to, and Working with Children and Young People at risk of or Experiencing Sexual Exploitation

A one day, multi-agency course for practitioners and managers who are working with (or managing staff working with) children and young people at risk of, or experiencing sexual exploitation.

Candidates should have attended the Introduction to Working Together or their own in-house introduction training, as well as having undertaken a CSE Awareness Plus session.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the course participants should:

  • Be able to identify the warning signs that a child might be risk of, or experiencing sexual exploitation
  • Have an understanding of the complexities of working with children at risk of, or experiencing sexual exploitation
  • Be familiar with how to respond appropriately to safeguard a child at risk of, or experiencing sexual exploitation
  • Know how best to share intelligence and information
  • Be able to apply learning to practice.
