Welcome to our new website

We're delighted to introduce you to our new website.

We've taken on board all your feedback and developed a website that is user friendly and easy to navigate.

For practitioners who work with children and young people, we have a developed a new Practitioners section, which includes a wealth of information to help you improve your practice, including:

  • Safeguarding topics -  with local and national information covering a range of safeguarding topics in alpha order, to support you in your role protecting children and young people
  • Learning from practice -  which looks at practice to help you understand not only what happened but also why things happened as they did, to potentially identify lessons which can enhance future responses.

Our training courses and online booking form can now be found in our new Training section.

We also have a new section for Businesses which provides information to help them meet their safeguarding responsibilities.

Parents, carers and family members can find information on safeguarding children and young people in the Families section of the website and there's an updated Children and Young People's section too.

If you run an organisation which provides services for children and young people take a look at the Your Organisation section. With information on safe recruitment and the role of the Designated Safeguarding Officer, it contains all the information you need to ensure that you're providing a safe environment for the children and young people you support.

To make it easy for organisations to identify whether they have the necessary safeguarding arrangements in place, we've also developed an online Organisational Safeguarding Assessment. If you've previously used our online Section 11 Audit Tool, your login details have been transferred over to the new system. If you've never used it before, why not register and see for yourself how it can help you assess your organisation's safeguarding arrangements?

We will continue to update the website, so keep checking back for all the latest information on safeguarding children and young people in Leeds.
