Introduction to Child Sexual Exploitation

This presentation is a brief introduction to Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE). CSE can be a complex issue and it is recommended that for staff groups who work directly with children and young people, practitioners and professionals undertake further reading around the subject.

This presentation includes:

  • The definition of CSE
  • Common models of grooming and exploitation
  • The signs to look for
  • The importance of sharing intelligence
  • What to do if you have a concern about a child.

It is important that anyone delivering this session in-house ensures that all participants have completed Introduction to Safeguarding Children and Young People (or their in-house equivalent) first. Please check Which training is right for me? for more guidance.

There is currently no charge for access to this in-house briefing.
