We have launched a powerful new training resource aimed at helping professionals better understand and respond to grief and bereavement in their work.
The Professional Grief and Bereavement videos are a suite of 5 videos which raise awareness of the unique and personal nature of grief. Developed in response to recommendations from a Child Safeguarding Practice Review, the videos explore the impact of bereavement on children, adults, and families, and supports practitioners in navigating sensitive conversations with compassion and confidence.
Delivered by Zoe Hamilton Wynne, Training and Bereavement Manager at the National Bereavement Service, the videos offer evidence-based insights and practical guidance. Zoe brings extensive experience across sectors including the NHS, charities, and academia, and is known for her tailored, empathetic approach to bereavement education.
The videos are suitable for anyone working in settings where they may encounter individuals experiencing grief. It is not counselling training, but rather a tool to enhance professional curiosity, improve communication, and help practitioners manage emotional responses in a supportive and informed way.
Before accessing the webinar, participants should have completed the Introduction to Safeguarding Children and Young People training, either through their own organisation or via LSCP.
The Professional Grief and Bereavement videos can be accessed via the Training section on the website.
