Is your organisation registered on the Partnership Intelligence Portal (PIP)?
The PIP is a secure system used by authorised partners and organisations to submit information to West Yorkshire Police. It’s designed to help gather intelligence on various criminal activities, from routine offenses to serious and organised crime including:
- What criminal activity is taking place
- Who is committing the crime
- Who are they targeting
- Information about protecting the vulnerable
- How are they committing their crimes
Visit the Partnership Intelligence Portal to register your organisation.
Updates to local protocols
Local protocols are current guidance and procedures which all practitioners in Leeds should follow to support their work with children and young people. They can all be found on the LSCP website.
The following have recently been updated:
- Child protection medical pathway
- Safeguarding children with complex medical needs/Autism who travel outside of the local authority or abroad
Please ensure that team’s and colleagues are aware of the updates and implement any necessary changes within your practice.
16 Days of Activism
The theme for 2025 is; Unite to End Digital Violence against All Women and Girls.
Digital violence against women and girls is one of the fastest-growing forms of abuse. This year’s campaign is also a reminder that digital safety is central to gender equality. More information can be found on the 16 days of Activism website.
White Ribbon Day
The theme for 2025 is We Speak Up - letting sexism slide puts women and girls at risk. Sexist jokes, catcalling, staring, and comments might seem harmless, but they are serious because they can lead to violence and abuse.
This White Ribbon Day, we want more men to use their voices and speak up to create a world where everyone is safe, equal, and respected. More information can be found on the White Ribbon Day website.
Gender and exploitation: Youth voice insights
This report from the Children's Society explores young people’s views on the connection between gender and exploitation, including how gendered perceptions can be a barrier to identification, disclosure and support.
