Welcome to our newsletter for practitioners that work with children and families in Leeds. This newsletter provides you with helpful information to support and improve your practice.
New topics added to team briefings
We’ve developed team briefings specifically to support managers in developing staff skills in a variety of safeguarding topics through their team meetings.
Each briefing includes clear aims, learning objectives, bite-sized activities, and links to practical tools, making it easy to engage your team in meaningful, practice-focused development.
We’ve added 2 more topics for you to choose from:
- Concerns resolution
- Considering male carers within a family
Select a team briefing for your next team meeting and use them to generate discussion, support reflective practice, and increase your team’s knowledge.
Voice and influence
For organisations, voice and influence refers to the meaningful involvement of children, particularly those the organisation serves, in shaping decisions, policies, and practices. It means creating structures and cultures where their perspectives are not only heard but actively shape outcomes.
See our new web page on voice and influence, for helpful information on what this means in practice.
